Malta is a small independent island in southern Italy. It has a very pleasant climate throughout the year, it is a country with a high safety index and one of its two official languages is English.

It is an internationally valued and recognized financial center and is one of the EU countries where it is easiest to obtain your residence permit.

Residence and work permits available:

  • Permit for employees: requires a work contract from a Maltese company.
  • Self-employment permit: it is only necessary to have previously established a company in Malta.
  • Self-sufficiency permit: you only need to show that you have a bank account with 15,000 euros and medical insurance. It is not necessary therefore to work. There is no right to receive a public pension or to use the Maltese health system.
  • Individual investment program: It is a program designed for large capitals, where through an economic contribution to the Maltese state and the investment in Maltese assets it is achieved in 12 months to obtain the Malta passport, and therefore a European passport. It is the most interesting option in the EU for non-European investors looking to do business in the economic space.
